Supplied by Diamond Trucks, the County Down-based operator’s latest addition is the first Range T High to join its all-Renault fleet of 11 tractors.

The new fleet flagship sports a range of extras, including Kelsa lightbars, LED spotlights, roof-mounted air horns and colour-matched cab components.

The unit is powered by the range-topping DTi 13-litre Euro VI engine, producing 512hp and 2,550Nm of torque, and driving through a 12-speed Optidriver automated transmission system. The T520 High is on front air suspension for stability and improved ride on challenging terrain.

Paul Spence, director of family-run RAS Haulage, says: “The T High is the whole package – it’s great to drive, very comfortable and it looks really impressive out on the road.”

RAS Haulage has specified adaptive cruise control and emergency braking, as well as a load-per-axle indicator. The cab is equipped with Renault’s Ultimate Bronze Finish package and a 40-litre quiet fridge.

The vehicle is expected to hold a high residual value, says Spence, adding: “We spec’d the vehicle carefully at point of order... the more extras on the truck, the easier it is to sell on.”

The Range T is supplied on a five-year ‘Start and Drive’ hire purchase contract, with maintenance carried out by the dealer.
