The prestigious SocEnv Awards are now open for its 2024 nominations. Seeking to showcase the outstanding contributions of registered environmental professionals who spearhead positive change, The Society for the Environment’s annual award serves as a beacon, attracting nominations for two categories, Environmental Professional of the Year and the Rising Star Award.

The Environmental Professional of the Year award seeks to honour individuals who have spearheaded impactful projects, influenced groundbreaking policies, and served as exemplary role models for future generations. Their leadership and expertise have demonstrably shaped a more sustainable future, and their recognition will inspire continued progress.

The environmental landscape thrives on fresh perspectives and innovative approaches. This is highlighted by the coveted Rising Star Award which shines a spotlight on newly registered professionals whose impact within their first year has been truly remarkable. Whether it's pioneering sustainable practices within their organisations or tackling complex challenges with a unique perspective, nominees in this category represent the dynamic future and promise of the environmental community.

Nominees for both awards must be registered as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) or Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech). However, nominations can be submitted by anyone, including self-nominations.

Nominations for the SocEnv awards are open until 09:00 BST on Wednesday 17th April 2024.
