The Pirbright Institute joins SOE as a Corporate Partner, supporting engineering excellence, professional development, and future-ready engineers.
The Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) is pleased to welcome The Pirbright Institute as its newest Corporate Partner. This collaboration strengthens our shared commitment to advancing engineering standards, supporting professional development, and encouraging innovation across vital sectors.
The Pirbright Institute is a world-leading centre of excellence in the research and surveillance of viral diseases of livestock, as well as viruses that spread from animals to humans. Based in the UK and funded strategically by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)’s Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), the Institute contributes to global food security and animal health through its pioneering bioscience research.
By joining SOE’s Corporate Partnership programme, Pirbright demonstrates the importance of professional recognition, workforce development, and technical excellence in engineering. The partnership will create opportunities to provide support and training for the next generation of high-containment engineers working within the Institute.
SOE’s Corporate Partnership scheme supports organisations that wish to invest in their people and demonstrate leadership in engineering standards, safety, and sustainability. Through this collaboration, both SOE and Pirbright will work to strengthen professional pathways, ensure competence, and enhance the visibility of engineering within critical national and global projects.
