The Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) is pleased to announce Fulcrum Mechanical Services as its newest Corporate Partner.
Fulcrum Mechanical Services (FMS) is an engineering-first bus and commercial vehicle maintenance network on a mission to put engineering back into contractor services.
Founded and run by engineers, FMS provides specialist technical support to the transport sector, helping operators tackle complex engineering challenges through managed technical services, workshop support, fault diagnosis and bespoke training.
Their practical, engineering-led approach aligns closely with SOE's commitment to supporting professionalism and excellence across the industry.
FMS co-founder and former Chief Engineer Chris Turton said partnering with SOE was a natural next step for them.
“At Fulcrum, we’ve always believed that the minimum standard should not be the baseline, and every good engineer knows it,” he said.
“The SOE shares our commitment to actively raising technical standards across the transport sector, and we are excited to champion that mission forward together."
Co-founder and Master Technician Jonathan Gardener said the industry has changed rapidly, and operators need modern knowledge that adapts to the needs of a workshop today.
“We look forward to collaborating with the SOE to promote hands-on, up-to-date expertise and ensure that technicians on the ground have the real-time support they need to succeed safely,” he said.
Operations Director Cristian Badara said keeping a fleet moving requires absolute confidence in the people on your shop floor.
“Partnering with the SOE is a proud moment for Fulcrum because it aligns perfectly with our strict operational standards,” he said.
“We look forward to working together to champion compliance, technical competency, and safety across the industry, ensuring that operators never have to second-guess the quality of the contractors in their depots."
SOE Chief Executive Emma Thompson said the Society was pleased to welcome FMS as a Corporate Partner and looked forward to collaborating on initiatives that support the industry's workforce and drive higher standards across the sector.
"We are delighted to welcome Fulcrum Mechanical Services as an SOE Corporate Partner," she said.
"Their engineering-led ethos and dedication to competency, compliance and continuous improvement strongly reflect SOE's own commitment to advancing professional standards and championing engineering excellence within the transport industry."
Through the partnership, SOE and FMS will work together to share best practice, enhance technical capability and highlight the vital role of high-quality engineering support within the commercial vehicle sector.
