James gave a presentation entitled, ‘Legal Updates and Legislation Changes in Transport’ to 49 members and guests.

The firm works on behalf of its clients from both the goods and passenger transport industries.

They range from single vehicle operators to large fleet blue chip transportation and logistics contractors.

James covered the operator licensing and traffic commissioner disciplinary process that can lead to Public Inquiry and possible licence revocation, along with driver conduct hearings and the operator’s responsibilities in risk reduction and the training of employees.

The consequences to the operator’s repute or compliance evaluation in relation to vehicle bridge strikes, the fitting of Ad-Blue system interrupters and current public service vehicle accessibility regulations were all subjects discussed with the audience.
