The FTA (Freight Transport Association) is expanding the use of video in its Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS).
VIS field engineers will use the Vehicle Vision app from their mobile phones to support their various inspection types and upload the personalised videos to the FTA’s driver and fleet compliance Vision platform for reporting and communication to FTA members. Jerry Kane, FTA commercial director says: “The option of a video demonstrates faults in a way that narrative or photographs just can’t show. We have been providing this service for a major HGV OEM since 2016 and now have a desire to make it available to all our customers across the UK.”
