COVID-19 update

The latest government guidance regarding the COVID-19 virus asks everyone to work from home where possible. We have been preparing for this and have systems in place to enable all our teams to work remotely.

From March 18 the majority of our staff will be working remotely from home. Membership services will operate as close to normal as possible but there will be some limitations.

Telephones
You can still call us on 0207 630 1111 but our capacity to handle telephone calls will be reduced. You may also experience a delay as calls are diverted from the office to team members at home.

Contact us
I would encourage members to use email to log queries where possible:
For Membership enquiries:  [email protected]
For Professional Registration enquiries: [email protected]
For regional events: [email protected]

Documents and membership cards
Our ability to produce printed documents and membership cards will be affected. New members may experience a delay in receiving membership packs. This is also the case if you have recently paid and are expecting a new membership card or are expecting a CPD certificate.

Professional registration
Professional review interviews may be disrupted. We will be updating anyone who is involved in the Professional Registration process by email. The Membership and Professional Standards Committee Marking Panel has meetings scheduled on the 14 May and the 14 July.  We will try to ensure that these take place in some format.

For all further updates about how we are responding to this challenge, please see our website www.soe.org.uk

I am sure you can appreciate that we are doing all we can to continue to support members as we take action to minimise the impact of the virus.

Regards,

Bruce McGill,
Chief Executive Officer
