“We are monitoring the market and are aware that the innovative technology being developed within the industry could assist businesses big and small, to improve the service they provide to their customers,” said Murray Ellis, Show Director.

“As organisers, we are aiming to give visitors the complete package of the commercial vehicle industry trade show with new vehicles, emerging technologies and the opportunity to connect with key decision makers and other individuals who are equally passionate about the sector,” Murray added.

Despite the show opening being six months away, demand for stand space at the UK’s leading and most comprehensive commercial road transport event has been very strong with 80% of the available space having already been sold.

Many exhibitors are making first-time appearances at the show, including electric taxi and van manufacturer LEVC, Isuzu, and Johnston Sweepers. In addition, those returning include Renault and Nissan, as well as regulars Ford, VW, Fiat Professional, Vauxhall and many other leading vehicle and trailer manufacturers and service suppliers. There is optimism amongst operators that cost-saving solutions could be discovered at the show next spring.

The Commercial Vehicle Show, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2020, occupies three expansive halls at the NEC, Birmingham and is dedicated to the most innovative commercial vehicles, technology and equipment. The show will run from 28-30 April. Visitor registration opens in January 2020.

Bruce McGill, SOE Chief Executive, said: “The new team has made some extremely positive steps to take the show forward and build upon what was already a very successful event. We’re all very excited to see the end result in 2020.”
