The Society has confirmed that not-for-profit insurance provider PG Mutual has joined as a Corporate Partner.
PG Mutual has joined as a ‘core’ partner to the new CP scheme launched by the Society earlier this year and will combine SOE’s expertise in safe and sustainable engineering and PG’s extensive knowledge of the income protection insurance market.
PG Mutual Account Manager Thomas Coan said: “SOE is dedicated to its members and expresses this through opportunities to expand knowledge and skills, the development of its members and introducing new benefits. The values of the SOE align with those of PG Mutual when it comes to supporting members, and that’s why we are happy to be partners.”
Founded as an income protection society by pharmacists for pharmacists, and known at that time as Chemists’ Sickness and Provident Society Ltd, PG is still a mutual society, but is now one that supports its members – pharmacist or not – if they are unable to work through illness or injury.
Bruce McGill, SOE Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome PG Mutual as our latest Corporate Partner and look forward to working with them. We believe that this partnership will be hugely beneficial for both parties and it reflects our desire to collaborate with companies that share our vision.”
Discounted membership rates and Engineering Council application fees, CPD approval programmes and special PR opportunities are available through the new corporate partner scheme.
