Iveco building face masks for health service in Spain

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco has announced plans to build and distribute protective face screens to the health care service in Spain.

Using its 3D printing capabilities at its Madrid and Valladolid factories, Iveco has produced the face screens for immediate use, as protection against infection from Covid-19. 

Iveco is also donating much needed medical supplies, including gloves and masks, to local government.

An initiative launched by CILT, and backed by FTA and RHA, will help struggling operators find the supply chain resources they need.

M&S reward staff with 15% bonus

Marks & Spencer has announced that it will give staff who continue to work in its stores and warehouses a 15% bonus.

The company is still selling food and goods online despite the closure of its home and clothing areas of its stores. 

An M&S spokesperson said: "Our frontline colleagues across stores and supply chain who continue to work will receive an additional 15% pay reward in recognition of the work they are doing to support their teams and the national effort to help customers access the products they need during these unprecedented times."

Stagecoach launches free bus service for NHS staff

Bus operator Stagecoach announced a free bus shuttle service to transport NHS staff to and from their shifts at Hull Royal Infirmary.

The service is only available to NHS staff, who will have to show ID cards to confirm their eligibility. 

NHS staff receive free bus travel in Wales as part of a deal between the government and struggling operators. Health workers are also offered free train travel on Transport for Wales trains.
