Join us at The Old Manor House Hotel to hear from Jim Hardcastle, Team Leader of ASSR, who has been a member for 16 years. He will take us through what it’s like to be called out on a real search and rescue mission – who teams are looking for, how they increase their chances of success, and what happens when someone is found. This is a rare opportunity to gain insight into the work of a specialist volunteer rescue team.

Unfortunately, there is no parking at the hotel other than for overnight guests. We recommend using The Ashton Way public car park (BS31 2UF), which is a five-minute walk away and free after 18.00. From the car park, turn left and walk ahead past the Tesco car park, then turn left for the hotel entrance on Bristol Road.
The hotel is also just a few minutes’ walk from Keynsham train station. From the station, turn left up to the roundabout, then right. The hotel is located a short distance down on the left.
