Roger E Clark, AMSOE AMIRTE

Brunel Regional Group and Wiltshire IRTE Centre regret to announce the passing of Roger Clark AMSOE AMIRTE.

Roger was a long serving member of the former Western IRTE Centre later to become the Brunel Regional Group. He began his career in heavy vehicle engineering with Distillers Company (yeast) Ltd in Bristol where he undertook an apprenticeship. In later years Roger worked for the Freight Transport Association (now Logistics UK) and various transport related companies. An early member of the Bristol Boys Brigade he later played rugby for Clifton.

Roger was a stalwart volunteer for the IRTE centres, serving at Western on the committee for many years and as chairman for a period. In addition he was a good and loyal friend of Wiltshire IRTE Centre, where he would always support organised activities such as the annual transport quiz, our monthly members meetings and outside trips and visits. Roger will always be remembered fondly as a cheery, supportive and friendly fellow volunteer and colleague.

Brunel and Wiltshire would like to extend our condolences to his wife Margaret and all of the family, by whom he will be sorely missed, and convey our heartfelt thanks for all of his support to the IRTE and its members over many years.
