Associate Member (AMSOE)

The following requirements are for guidance purposes only, all membership applications are assessed on an individual basis.

There are three routes to AMSOE class, as noted in Appendix 1 to Annex J (see link below). Membership accommodates a broad group of persons, from apprentices and graduates to those who have achieved a basic level of academic achievement, training and/or experience in engineering and may be registered or registrable with the Engineering Council.

After appropriate training and experience, the majority of members in this class would be expected and encouraged to transfer to a higher class of membership, and if eligible, complete full registration with the Engineering Council.

Individuals undertaking an approved or structured apprenticeship will be elected to AMSOE level. They will be eligible for transfer on successful completion of their training.
