SOE and IRTE colleagues pay tribute to irtec champion John Parry
Colleagues and friends from the Society, IRTE professional sector and wider road transport industry have been saddened to hear of the death of John Parry. John was the Chair of the irtec Steering Group, and a major influence on the Society’s industry standard irtec initiative, instigating its relaunch in 2011. The irtec scheme gives technicians recognition for their capabilities and changed the face of vehicle maintenance. John was also a Society board member and a much respected figure in road transport.
