A roofing company and its director were sentenced at Southwark Crown Court for safety breaches that resulted in the death of an employee.

Figures released in January by the Health and Safety Authority reveal a 23% decline in work-related fatalities in 2018 compared to 2017.
The figures show the lowest level of total fatalities since the Authority was established in 1989, at a rate of 1.6 deaths per 100,000 workers.
