irtec sponsors Brake Safe Vehicles award

31st Aug 2018

Technician accreditation irtec will be sponsoring the Safe Vehicles category at Brake’s Fleet Safety Awards, the national charity has confirmed.

Brake’s prestigious Fleet Safety Awards recognise the achievements of those working to reduce the number of crashes involving at-work drivers, bringing together fleet operators and suppliers to celebrate and share best practice in managing road risk.

The road safety charity received an overwhelmingly high number of entries and now more than 40 organisations are in with a chance of winning one of 13 prestigious awards.

Chief Operating Officer, Daniel Moir, said: “SOE share many of the same values as Brake, namely best practice and safety. Through our road transport professional sector, IRTE, we now hope to join forces with Brake, and continue to positively influence safety standards on our roads. The awards ceremony is a fantastic event and we’re delighted to be part of it.”

Sarah Plumb, Senior Fleet Officer, at Brake, says: “Congratulations to all those shortlisted this year. The awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of organisations and individuals going above and beyond to reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers. We would like to say a big thank you to all those who entered and wish the shortlisted individuals and organisations the very best of luck. We hope you can join us for what promises to be a fantastic evening.”
Organisations are invited to attend the awards ceremony on Thursday 11 October at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
