The SOE are delighted to announce that Arcola energy will be presenting a white paper on their new hydrogen fuel cell solution for Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCV). This presentation will provide detailed calculations on the total cost of ownership based on an analysis of real route profiles in UK cities and summarise the white paper and its proposed policy changes.

The paper is a collaboration between Ballard Power Systems, a leading developer of fuel cell systems and Arcola Energy, who specialise in fuel cell powertrain engineering and vehicle integration. The paper combines Ballard’s experience of the lifetime costs of fuel cell systems with Arcola’s analysis of real-world duty cycles of RCVs in public sector and commercial operations.

This webinar will include:

  • In-depth analysis of the cost of ownership of a fleet of hydrogen RCVs
  • Conclusions on operations most suiting the technology
  • The features and benefits of the vehicle
  • The suitability of hydrogen powered RCVs as a total fleet solution, including refuelling infrastructure and depot practicalities, such as service and maintenance
