Please join us for a webinar from the IRTE Ireland North committee, the second in their three-part series on hydrogen fuel technology. This presentation is in three parts and will feature Ireland North Education Officer Michael Hutchinson MSOE MIRTE MIMI of TTS, Dr Peter Watters CEng FIMechE FIEI and Brian Elliott CEng MIMechE and Martin Madine of Translink.

Michael Hutchinson MSOE MIRTE MIMI of TTS will outline Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (HFCEV) in terms of the development of modern motor vehicles.

Dr Peter Watters CEng FIMechE FIEI will present on design innovation in the US and EU which has led to current H2FCEV single and double-deck buses. He will also discuss the innovative components in terms of their operating and maintenance as elements of a low/no carbon solution.

Dr Watters CEng FIMechE FIEI will discuss skill development pathways for young engineers and their role in on-going development. He will also discuss cost reduction to help make hydrogen a cost-effective solution.

Brian Elliott CEng MIMechE and Martin Madine of Translink will give some feedback on the Belfast OLEV Hydrogen bus project in 2020/21.

There will be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
