Aimed at highlighting the important role of the Engineer Surveyor in promoting safety in the workplace, this BES Engineer Surveyor Award will go to the member of BES who best demonstrates a professional approach to their operation at the top end of the market.

Entries will be judged by SOE staff and members of the BES Professional Sector Council. 

2019 Winner

Michael Ford EngTech MSOE MBES

The role of an Engineer Surveyor should evolve as the equipment and client evolve.  Michael has done this through a combination of his own personal development, researching new equipment, using technical bulletins and peer-to-peer learning. As well as setting an example for continued professional development, Michael is also keen to impart his knowledge through his role as a trainer

Michael has additionally gone the extra mile for his customers and been recognised by them as someone who approaches each technical challenge as a way to increase safety, save customer cost and demonstrate the professionalism required by SOE members in their work.

Andy Forsyth IEng MSOE MBES

Andy has been an Engineer Surveyor for over thirty years. Throughout his career he has taken an extremely professional approach to working with customers and plant operators. An approved trainer for many years, which enables him to pass on the exemplary standards to which he operates, Andy is a credit to his business and the wider inspection industry.

Peter Cairns MSOE MIPlantE

Peter joined British Engineering Services in 2015. He has great enthusiasm for the role, combined with technical ability and commercial awareness and is intent in sharing his knowledge with others.
