Thirty three members and guests attended a lecture given by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service on 'The role of the fire crew at a road vehicle collision'. The first part of the lecture was presented by road safety officer Frances Egerton, from the Road Traffic Reduction Team, who was assisted by Steven Parker.

John Davies, driver development specialist for Thomas Hardie Commercials, a main franchise dealer for Volvo Trucks in the North West and North Wales, explained how Volvo truck production is based on three concepts - quality, environmental care and finally, safety, which was the main topic of his presentation.
