New Transport Engineer website launched
8th Jan 2010
January 2010 marks the beginning of a new era for the IRTE (Institute of Road Transport Engineers), as its industry-respected technical journal, Transport Engineer, is re-launched along with a brand new website full of crucial information.
Re-designed with new editorial sections and additional must-read pages, the magazine, which IRTE members receive free and is available to subscribers, is supported by a new content-rich website, www.transportengineer.org.uk, containing a comprehensive supplier directory and regular e-zine reader services.
All members of SOE (Society of Operations Engineers) members recently benefitted from the refresh of the organisation’s main website, but now, with the launch of the road transport specific www.transportengineer.org.uk, visitors will be able to access even more current and useful information, whenever they want.
IRTE Members will be able to search the new website for the latest industry news, a comprehensive supplier directory, full technical and management feature archives, videos, white papers, legislation updates, vehicle recall data and more.
SOE President Chris Grime said: “The need for a competitive edge in the road transport industry has never been greater, and now readers of Transport Engineer can look forward to an array of crucial information at their fingertips, as well as a first class technical magazine.”
Findlay Media are producing the new Transport Engineer on behalf of IRTE. Findlay Media is the UK’s principal publishing house among the engineering and technical communities. As editors of SOE’s other technical magazine, Plant Engineer, Findlay Media has a long-standing relationship with the Society and its members.
