Predictive asset management conference opens doors in September

The Predictive Asset Management Conference, which runs from 12—13 September at Royal Garden Kensington in London, is aimed at plant engineers wanting to improve asset reliability and reduce downtime.

Speakers include: Tim Jesson, asset replacement manager, National Grid; Chris Woodroofe, head of engineering, Gatwick Airport; Jason Bryant, C&I engineer, EDF Energy; Matt Wheeldon, head of wastewater, planning and asset management, Wessex Water; and Andrew Starr, Professor of maintenance systems and head of Integrated Maintenance Centre at Cranfield University.

But the line-up also continues with: Sandor Bari, condition monitoring engineer, SSE; Hafiz Wasif, KTP associate, University of Portsmouth and Stork Food and Dairy Systems; Ieuan Mogridge, of EDF Energy Nuclear Generation; William Neale, network modelling consultant, Thames Water; Ian Prosser, director of railway safety, ORR; Jim Barlow, head of asset performance and engineering, Environment Agency; Mark Worsfold, chief engineer, OFWAT; and Dave Lawton, continuous improvement engineer, Stork Food and Dairy Systems

Delegates will hear from a variety of organisations using predictive asset management strategies.

Highlights, according to the organisers, will include: how EDF Energy integrated its new PdM software with other systems at West Burton Power Station; and Thames Water's approach to monitoring asset performance through real-time modelling.

Others to watch for are: online vibration monitoring of critical assets at EDF's Hunterston B's power station; and predictive diagnostic techniques used in the UK dairy industry to maintain high value assets.
