Legal Helpline

Nothing is given quite so freely – and received quite so reluctantly – as “advice”. Engineers and lawyers share a common characteristic – we are both good at giving advice by the bucket but only taking it by the grain. The legal profession has, historically, taken this one stage further by generally attempting to solve problems after the event and with the benefit of hindsight. Backhouse Jones are turning this reactive approach on it head with a proactive legal helpline in conjunction with the SOE.

Whatever your difficulties – whether it be maintaining roadworthiness or managing compliance– it is reassuring to speak with a lawyer who has seen hundreds of PMI sheets and does not ask you to explain what a PG9 is or what CPC stands for.

SOE members should feel free (and it is free) to call Backhouse Jones on 01254 828300 for advice on any matter where transport is in danger of meeting the law. During the call we will not try to solve your problems. On the contrary –and more constructively – we will try to help you to solve your own problems. When telephoning please ask for Andrew Woolfall or one of the Backhouse Brothers.
