Complaints Procedure

irtec (Institute of Road Transport Engineers Certification) professional conduct – disciplinary procedure

If you wish to make a complaint of misconduct against an irtec licence holder, regarding a breach of the irtec Code of Conduct, you will need to follow the procedure below:

Stage 1: Preliminary Action
Complaints should be made to the SOE (Society of Operations Engineers) by email to irtec@irtec.org.uk or in writing to:

Stage 2: Investigation of the Complaint
The licence holder will be given the opportunity to respond.

Stage 3: Disciplinary Hearing
A disciplinary hearing will be set up, consisting of a disciplinary panel.

Stage 4: Sanctions: Warnings or Revocation of Licence
Appropriate disciplinary sanctions will be enforced.

Stage 5: Appeals
The licence holder is entitled to appeal against any disciplinary sanction.
