"CFM are the in-house maintenance provider for Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service and Warwickshire Police.

"We decided that we wanted to be able to provide evidence of the skills and professionalism of our work force, whilst at the same time offering our technicians the opportunity to develop their own careers. The irtec licensing scheme was the ideal tool for doing this and encouraging continual professional development.

"To date we have 12 irtec licensed technicians all of whom have become institute members and we are now looking to progress them to Master Technician status over the next 2 years.

"The technicians all enjoyed the experience, even though some were initially apprehensive. The irtec scheme has helped install a thirst for knowledge across the whole of CFM.
