Wine and dine on the Tyne

Each year the Committee strives to make improvements and this year its efforts were well rewarded.

Representatives from all areas of the transport industry recognise the occasion as the main event in the region, taking the opportunity to socialise with customers and guests.

The principal guests this year included the IRTE PS Council Chair, Chris Grime (also Vice-President IRTE) and his wife Jackie and Steve Hogarth and his partner Dianne, who were admirably looked after by Centre Chairman Chris Prince and his wife, Ann.

Each year the Centre presents an award for the best lecture, and for 2007 this went to Dave Brown, JCB, for his presentation on the DieselMax Landspeed record.

The North Eastern Centre Committee and members would extend their sincere thanks to the many companies and sponsors of the dinner and dance, without which the event would not be such a success.
