Hon Sec out with a bang

Thanks: SOE President Chris Grime presents George Blair with a gift.

IRELAND NORTH – AGM

At the recent AGM of the IRTE Ireland North Centre, the Honorary Secretary George Blair stood down after some twenty-four years loyal service. George has been a long-standing pillar of the Centre and contributed hugely to its evolution and success.

SOE President Chris Grime, who attended the AGM, spoke to George before presenting him with a crystal vase as a token of the Centre’s appreciation.

In George’s acceptance speech, he fondly reminisced about some of the names, faces and characters that he had worked with and encountered during nearly quarter of a century of his association with the Centre. He then went on to thank the committee for their help in the past.

On behalf of the Ireland North Centre and the entire IRTE, the Society of Operations Engineers sincerely thanks George for his commitment and work and wishes him the happiest of retirements.
