February 2010 – Allison Transmission Presentation

Allison Transmission Account Manager Patricia Ann Cobbold and Mitchell Central Diesel Manger (Product Support) Steve Kay, gave a comprehensive lecture recently on Allison Transmission. Firstly outlining the global company, delegates then heard about existing product ranges for both commercial wheeled and military tracked units, as well as innovations.

Also discussed was vehicle efficiency, demonstrated by using a measured amount of fuel in Allison equipped vehicles and comparing results with others. These results are partly achieved by Allison gearboxes maintaining drive-through shifts, hence no loss of power through gearshifts, as well as being highly manoeuvrable throughout typical work cycles.
