BS 2853:1957 'The design and testing of steel overhead runway beams' has been revised and re-issued as BS2853:2011 'Specification for the testing of steel overhead runway beams for hoist blocks'. It now does not contain design information and this is contained in BS EN 1993 parts 3 & 6.
